Leilani Tatum

Leilani was born and raised in the DFW area. She went to highschool in Mansfield. During highschool, on a whim, she took a few healthcare classes at the high schools tech school  and absolutely fell in love with the medical field. Leilani realized her calling was to help others. She stayed close to home and went to UTA for her Bachelor’s in Nursing.  After that, she worked with adults in the hospital setting for about 9 years, but over time realized, kiddos always had her heart, she is the oldest of three and one of the oldest of over 20 cousins. So, she always found herself helping take care of her younger siblings/cousins. She made the decision to go back to UTA to get her Master’s in Nursing and specialized in Pediatrics. Leilani has a passion for integrative medicine because as a provider, she can really work with children and their families to create individualized plans that truly treat the whole child.

After a lot of research, Leilani found that offices that offer holistic care options are a rare find, and feels so very blessed to be a part of the Shine family! Since school consumed so much of her time, she is working on finding new hobbies! She enjoys art, music, painting, drawing and sculpting! She also loves being outside/gardening, while working on her green thumb. On nice spring days, you can find her outside riding her bike around town, or laughing and spending time with family!
